SPR™ installation
Six steps to the rehabilitated pipe

The SPR™ installation is a unique cost-efficient process divided into six steps

  1. Pipe inspection
  2. Cleaning
    - Hydraulic Jet Cleaning
    - Taking out all debris
  3. SPR™ winding process
  4. SPR™ bracing
  5. Grouting
  6. Termination work

Pipe inspection

SPR™ installation work flow starts from conducting Pipe Inspection work. It is often the case that there is significant difference between the project plan and actual condition of the host pipe, conducting Pipe Inspection prior to installation plays significant roll for designing entire SPR™ works.

Cleaning

Prior to the SPR™ rehabilitation process of the deteriorated sewer, the hydraulic jet cleaning removes all debris from the host pipe.

SPR™ winding process

Winding process in live flow condition

After the cleaning process the steal drum with the SPR™ profile is placed next to the access chamber. The single components of the SPR™ winding machine are inserted into the host pipe via access chamber and assembled below grade.

The SPR™ profile is fed through the manhole into the installed winding machine which starts the winding process.

The SPR™ winding work can be carried out in live flow conditions.

SPR™ bracing
After the winding process the bracing system is assembled. The bracing units are carried into the host pipe via manhole and set up carefully as cross-section in the wounded, rehabilitated pipe.

The internal frame provides structural support during the grouting process and position the SPR profile in the host pipe according to engineering specifications.

Grouting
The grouting is divided into the injection and the curing. The grouting process prevents deformation and floatation of the liner. It can be carried out in 1 to 3 steps depending on the size and lenght of the host pipe.
Termination work

Before the SPR™ installations process is completed, the bracing frame has to be removed. Now the new pipe is ready for service.
