On October 25th 2007 the new automated liner manufacturing plant for needle felt liners was officially opened at the NordiTube site in Schieder-Schwalenberg. 50 invited guests visited the plant, the impregnation facilities and the laboratory and exchanged information on the latest developments on the rehabilitation market.

25th October: the big day had come - the grand opening of the new NordiTube liner manufacturing plant in Schieder-Schwalenberg took place. 50 NordiTube customers attended the event. Specially for the Opening Event the production hall was transformed into an event location having a welcome section, exhibition area, auditorium and a buffet area.

After the arrival of all guests, Mr. Werner Reiner, Managing Director of NordiTube, opened the event. Werner Reiner emphasized that the investments in the new production line maintain the high quality standard of NordiTube.

Thereafter Dr. Jörg Sebastian from St. Wendel, one of Germany’s well established experts for plastics, gave a lecture on the history and the future development of the German pipe rehabilitation market. Dr. Sebastian also pointed out the importance of quality and quality assurance of rehabilitation works, systems and products .

After the speeches Mr. Mirko Heuser, General Manager Germany and Global Production Manager of Norditube and his competent employees guided the guests in two groups across the manufacturing plant and presented the liner production, the impregnation facilities and the laboratory. Thereafter the guests attended a live demonstration of the Rib Loc spiral wound technologies RIBLINE and ROTALOC, operated by Rib Loc employees Cyril Aibout and Dietmar Jennewein.

After the demonstrations the guests could gather informations about all NordiTube and Rib Loc products in the special exhibition.The Sales Managers Thomas Samanns, Wendelin Böhne, Michel Herman and Fabian Lossie presented the advantages of the CPT technologies and products to the guests.

Afterwards the guest enjoyed the buffet with regional delicacies.

Werner Reiner looked favourably at the event: “Being close to our customers is very important for us. Therefore it was a big chance to welcome all our German customers here today and to present them our new manufacturing plant.”
